YOU'RE NOT ALONE

Does Any of This Feel Familiar?

You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. We'll start wherever you are, making space for your questions, experiences, and hopes for your family.

01

Big Emotions

Your child is having a hard time, and suddenly you're feeling overwhelmed too. You want to help, but you're not always sure what they need.

02

Yelling & Power Struggles

You find yourself repeating the same reminders, getting pulled into arguments, or raising your voice when you hoped to respond differently.

03

Screen Time Struggles

Another disagreement about phones, games, or devices leaves everyone frustrated. You're wondering how to find a healthier balance.

04

Keeping Communication Open

You ask questions, but the answers seem to get shorter. You want your child to feel comfortable sharing what's happening in their world.

05

Supporting Your Child's Unique Needs

You're learning how to understand and support your child's individual strengths, sensory experiences, emotional needs, or ways of communicating.

06

Navigating Growing Independence

Your child is changing, becoming more independent, and sometimes pushing back. You want to give them room to grow while nurturing trust and connection.

If any of these moments feel familiar, you don't have to navigate them alone. There's room to learn, grow, and discover a different way forward.

WHAT ONE-ON-ONE PARENT COACHING LOOKS LIKE

Support That Honors Your Child and Your Family

There's no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting. Every child brings their own personality, strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world. And every parent brings their own experiences, hopes, and values.

That's why our coaching conversations begin with listening.

We'll take time to talk about what's happening in your family, recognize what's already going well, and explore the moments that feel challenging.

Together, we'll discover your family's core values, build on your strengths, and explore practical parenting tools that reflect what matters most to you.

My role isn't to tell you how to parent. It's to listen, offer encouragement and research-informed guidance, and walk alongside you as you learn to respond with greater understanding and nurture the relationships that matter most.

Curious what one-on-one parent coaching could look like for your family? I'd welcome the opportunity to connect, hear what's on your mind, and answer your questions.

PARENTING WITH PURPOSE

Discover the PAUSE Process

Parenting can bring out some of our biggest emotions. When your child is overwhelmed, pushing back on a boundary, or struggling to communicate, it's easy to react before we've had a chance to understand what's happening.

The PAUSE Process is my signature approach to helping parents slow down, listen with curiosity, and respond in ways that nurture trust and connection.

Rather than focusing only on behavior, we'll explore what's happening beneath it. Together, we'll practice being present, listening to understand, supporting our children's emotional needs, and exploring solutions that honor your family's values.

It's not about being a perfect parent. It's about learning, growing, and nurturing the lifelong relationship you're building with your child.

EVERY CHILD IS UNIQUE

Parent Coaching That Makes Room for Neurodiversity

Some children experience emotions, sensory information, transitions, and communication differently. And sometimes the parenting advice that seems to work for everyone else doesn't quite fit your child.

If you're parenting a neurodivergent child, including a child with ADHD or autism, you may be looking for support that recognizes their individual strengths and needs rather than expecting them to fit a single definition of how children should behave.

We'll approach your family's experiences with curiosity and respect, exploring communication, emotional regulation, transitions, routines, and connection in ways that make sense for your child.

Parent coaching is not a replacement for medical care, occupational therapy, mental health treatment, or other specialized services. It can, however, be a valuable source of parenting education and encouragement alongside the support your family may already receive.

Our focus remains on building understanding, strengthening relationships, and finding practical tools that fit your family.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions About Parent Coaching

It's natural to have questions when you're considering support for your family.

What is one-on-one parent coaching?

One-on-one parent coaching is a personalized, supportive partnership for parents, caregivers, and co-parents who want to strengthen their family relationships. Together, we'll explore your family's strengths, challenges, and hopes, identify what matters most to you, and discover practical tools to support communication, understanding, and connection with your children.

How is parent coaching different from therapy?

Parent coaching focuses on parenting education, practical strategies, communication, and strengthening family relationships. It offers a supportive space to explore everyday parenting challenges and discover approaches that reflect your family's unique needs and values.

Parent coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Coaching and therapy can complement one another when a family benefits from both types of support.

How can I stop yelling and be more patient with my child?

If you find yourself raising your voice, repeating the same reminders, or getting caught in power struggles, you're not alone. Through parent coaching, we'll explore what triggers those reactions, recognize the emotions and needs beneath challenging moments, and practice ways to pause before responding.

The goal isn't perfect parenting. It's learning to respond with greater understanding, set boundaries with care, and reconnect when things don't go as hoped.

Do you support parents of children with ADHD or autism?

Yes! I welcome parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children, including those with ADHD or autism. Together, we'll explore your child's unique strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world while discovering practical approaches to communication, emotional regulation, and strengthening family relationships.

Friendly reminder: Parent coaching provides education, encouragement, and practical support, but does not replace individualized medical or therapeutic care.

What ages of children do you support through parent coaching?

I work with parents and caregivers of children from pre-K through the teen years, with a special focus on the elementary and middle school years. Our coaching conversations are tailored to your child's developmental stage, your family's unique needs, and the relationships you're hoping to nurture.

Do you offer virtual parent coaching in Minnesota and beyond?

Yes! One-on-one parent coaching sessions are held virtually through Zoom, making it possible for parents and caregivers throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and across the United States to participate from the comfort of their home or another space that works for them. Each session offers personalized support without the need to travel.

How long is each parent coaching session?

Each one-on-one coaching session is 60 minutes, giving us time to check in, celebrate what's going well, explore challenges, and discover practical next steps that reflect your family's needs and goals.

Can parents or co-parents participate in coaching together?

Yes! Parents and co-parents are welcome to participate together. Coaching can offer an opportunity to better understand one another's perspectives, explore shared family values, and find ways to support your children with greater consistency and connection.

What if I'm not sure what I need from parent coaching?

That's okay! You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes you just know that something in your family life could feel different, but you're not sure where to begin.

Our complimentary Cup of Kindness call is an opportunity to share what's on your mind, explore your hopes for your family, and see whether coaching might be a good fit.
